Welcome to Jervis Bay School

A message from our Principal

Read,_LanaWelcome to Jervis Bay School’s website and thank you for taking time to learn a little about our school. The school is built on Wandrawandian Country. We acknowledge the traditional custodians and pay our respect to the elders of the Wreck Bay community, past present and future.

Located on the Bherwerre Penisula and in the middle of the beautiful Booderee National Park, Jervis Bay School has a long and proud history of serving the local community. Initially established as a school for children of naval personnel, we welcome and accept enrolments from the broader Jervis Bay Region. We are a community school, where students, parents and the broader community work together with a dedicated professional team to ensure every child achieves success.

Students attending Jervis Bay School experience learning on a site that holds great cultural significance locally, nationally and internationally.  The location of the school affords rich opportunities, as students access natural landscapes within the park, learning on Country as much as possible. The school works closely with National Park Rangers and local community members to enrich the learning opportunities for our students.

At Jervis Bay School, our approach to teaching and learning reflects our core values of Positive Relationships, Respect, Identity, Determination and Expectations; our PRIDE values.  In addition to a targeted focus on literacy and numeracy, we prioritise Social and Emotional Learning and student wellbeing at all times.

I hope you enjoy exploring our website, and that you find a chance to visit our school in the near future. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you would like to learn a little more about our programs, or to enquire about our enrolment process.
