The Junior Ranger Program provides a unique opportunity for students to learn about their local area, local Aboriginal culture and to connect with country. The program is delivered in a joint venture between the school, Booderee National Park and WBACC.
Each class participates in the Junior Ranger program for one term per year with a focus on science, history or geography. Classroom learning is supported by multiple excursions in Booderee National Park and Wreck Bay land, led by park rangers and staff.
The Junior Ranger program provides relevant and exciting learning opportunities in the local environment, helps students become familiar with park management and governance, and provides a link to potential future employment pathways.
